Bette Nesmith Graham was born March 23, 1924 in Dallas, TX. After divorcing her first husband, she worked as a secretary. To make extra money, painted holiday windows which gave her the idea for correction fluid. Graham used her white correction paint for five years; some bosses admonished her against using it, but coworkers frequently sought her "paint out".
